Entertaining.
Someonesmommy asked:
Please give me a sample menu.
I am hosting a shower for my best friend. There will be about 50 women there (she comes from a HUGE family), It will be in the afternoon, from like 1pm-4pm.
an imitation wedding cake(not the same) and have a stripper pop out hahah as a joke lol:P
nah jokes *maybe* nah have like selection of dips or little fried foods etc
and bubbly
chocolate, cheese and crackers. shrimp, and elegant ordierves.
Shrimp cocktail, assorted finger sandwiches, little meatballs, spinach and strawberry salad with a honey poppyseed dressing, fruit with dip (a great dip is marshmallow cream/fluff beaten into room temp cream cheese and a little vanilla). Awesome!
I’m feeling hungry now. : )
It’s nice to have a variety of appies, even cold cuts, buns, cheeses, pickles; veggies and dip, fruit and dip; a variety of dainties, or a cake.
I always do Chocolate dipped strawberries:)
They are not hard to make and not too expensive if you do them yourself.
do some deli and cheese platters, biscuits and dips and some sweets like cheese cake, cupcakes etc…..no one will feel much like eating anyway cause they will be having too much fun and cause of what time it is they will only want something light…..have plenty of bubbly and wine though
I too have a big family and I am always going to baby showers. I really like to eat finger foods at the begining while waiting till everyone gets there because around 1pm people will be hungry. kinda like chips and dip or some special party mix or veg’s and dip that stuff is easy. and maybe some fruity punch. then for the main it depends on what you think your party might want like maybe they are sandwich people so maybe a party sub that can go a long way for a lot of people. plus some kinda salad on the side either a pasta salad or a green salad thats easy to prepare. Its nice and fresh food to keep your party fresh and energized. And its really easy for you to prepare everything because you can find all these things already prepared. for desert maybe some cake and Ice cream and maybe some pie for those who cant take all the sugar from the cake and ice cream. Its healty and easy food. o and dont forget the mints! good luck!
I have won awards for my spinach dip and sad to say it come out of a package and GREAT for showers!!!
Buy one package of KNORRS veggie dip mix “it has a picture of spinach dip in a bread bowl on the front and the packet is yellow” make the recipe as it says serve it in a few bread bowls and your done and people go threw the roof for a good spinach dip
oh when you open the mix take the dry veggies out… they stay to crunchy
Maybe you should make cake, chips, veggie platter, shrimp cocktail, or even ribs. It will work.

a chocolate fountain with lots of things to dip, fruit, pretzels, pound cake, etc.
go for a lighter fare. My girlfriend had a great shower with food. If you want, steal the idea.
She took styrofoam take-home containers (like the bigger ones that would fit a sandwich and fries). And they were wrapped with one of 3 different colored ribbons (all of which were her bridal colors or close to it). The different ribbons delegated the type of food inside.
Inside was 2 “pinwheel” sandwiches, however you could do a wrap, a small sandwich, or a sub. Choices were veggie (green ribbon), chicken (white ribbon), or roast beef (yellow ribbon). Also, all containers were stuffed with some grapes and strawberries, 2 andie’s candie mints, a package of chips (they had sun chips and low fat chips).
They placed pitchers of beverages in the center: lemonade, coffee, iced tea, water. And on a table on the side there was extra veggies and dip and cheese and crackers.
The one thing I always serve and people eat them up all the time…a fancy dish filled with M and M´s.
