Bridal Shower is meant to be more elegant and formal, and often ends up being like a tea party. The Bachelorette party is where the girls go out and get drunk and flirt with guys. One is refined and one is crazy lol, but both can be a lot of fun.

Bridal showers can be at night, but it would be more likely in the early evening, not until 3 am like a Bachelorette party.

A bachelorette party is just a reason for the bride to get trashed before the wedding. I personally think it is stupid.

A bridal shower is supposed to be a get together of female friends and family to shower the bride with gifts to set up her household. Kindof like a tea party. I no longer attend these unless it is close family.

Yes, there's usually a difference.

A bridal shower is usually a tasteful party, where your friends and family can bring you gifts, and where you can play a few fun, innocent games, drink punch, eat cake...kind of like a birthday party for the bride. Often it's only females, but everyone, including Grandma and your baby niece, should feel welcome at the shower. It can be in the evening, if that's what the bride wants! In fact, they often are, since that's when most people have free time.

A bachelorette party is usually a little more risque. It's usually thrown by the bride's close female friends, who are usually about her age. It's a party, too, but usually with games (and gifts!) that are a little more naughty. You would want your bridesmaids there, and your other girlfriends, but this is not one for older relatives or children.

you can have a bridal shower whenever you want however they are based more on preparing for the wedding and celebrating the bride to be...it also tends to be more family orientated with mom grandma and everything else

Now the bachelorette party is enjoying your last day of single hood not usually including mom and aunts but more like girlfriends that would take you secrets to the grave.. lol

hope that helps

A bridal party is thrown for you by someone else. It is usually more traditional. Could be a luncheon, could be light food and drinks at the hosts house. It's usually you and your bridesmaids and all your mom's friends.....they can be slightly boring but are very nice. Sometimes you get presents.

Bachellorette party is you, your bridesmaids and your other gal pals having a good time. Maybe bar hopping. Maybe having a girls only rowdy sleepover....more fun, and you usually get hammered and play games that would be embarrassing if you weren't so shitfaced....

A bridal shower is usually "family friendly" and is a chance to give the bride gifts for her future home. Grandmothers, aunts, cousins, friends, etc are invited. Sometimes light fare or cake is served. And yes, it could be in the evening.

The bachelorette party is bride's last "single hurrah" before she settles down. It usually involves drinking, dancing, partying, and includes the bride's close friends or family members who are of a similar age. Sometimes the bride receives lingerie or similar items.

Bridal shower is where people buy you gifts from your registry and you open them and what not...a bachelorette party is like a night out on the town with the girls....or some people do other things like to a spa.
A bridal shower is usually thrown for the bride by her mother or bridal party. The Maid of Honor and bridesmaids usually organize the bachelorette party.

Traditionally a bridal shower is a more conservative event with friends and family that has games and gifts. A bachelorette party is really just a chance for the bride and her girlfriends to go have a fun time.

A bridal shower could be in the evening, but most aren't late at night. I have been to combination shower/bachelorette parties.
