That depends on where the shower is. Will it be at someone’s home or a restaraunt/banquet hall?
If it’s something casual, wear something casual like a sundress in a summer color. Wear strappy sandals to dress it up for the after-party.
Try to stick to a neutral palette as this works for both dressy and casual occasions think; a simple white wrap top; well cut black dress pants; and be prepared with a cardigan, jacket or coat in a simple colour such as grey in case of the weather. Acessorise your outfit with playful accessories, eg.charmed necklace ( ) and a cute clutch ( ).
Just remember that the above items are just examples. the basic idea is keep you outfit simple and have fun with accessories, that way if your over-dressed/under-dressed you can simply remove/add accessories!
