Okay so a lot of people are saying the bridal shower gift is just for the bride, but it’s usually not. That would be the gift for the bachelorette party. Nowadays, the bridal shower involves both bride and groom, and they register for gifts at a couple stores. The wedding gift is separate, and money is usually most appreciated, because it helps cover the costs of the wedding and/or honeymoon. The bridal shower gifts are typically for the home, whether it be kitchenware, lamps, bedset, etc. Whatever you do, don’t give sexy gifts at the bridal shower, usually the mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and other family are there!

I would say it depends on how much you are planing/willing to spend. Do not go empty handed to the shower, at the very least a card with a modest gift and then; you can spend the big bucks for the wedding present. Or vise versa.

the gifts are seperate and I think ppl do it to get more crap putta their poor friends. JK But yeah its tradition to brign a more casual gift fot the couple to their bridal shower, a simple congrats, liek wine or frames. and a nice expensive gift off teh registry for the wedding

I’ve heard that people will get the something off their registry for the bridal shower and then give cash for their wedding present.

Dumb question. Is this a couples shower? Most guys don’t go to the bridal shower.
Yes, it is two separate gifts. Bridal shower gifts have special meaning to the bride or something that she can use for herself. You can also get something off the registry. The choice is yours.
I often give a wedding time capsule as a gift because it is something so different. And it is something they can share with their families before the wedding. Just a bunch of fun and still practical. As for a wedding gift you need to choose something off their registry. These are items that they have chosen because they will use them as a couple.

Check the bridal registry for a shower gift (where are they registered?) and give cash at the wedding (enough to cover your plate of food and then some).

A bridal shower gift is given during the bridal shower. It is intended for the bride. Unlike the wedding gift which is for both the groom and bride.
If you’re the groom, you need not buy a bridal shower gift and you’re not supposed to be in the bridal shower. The bridal shower is arranged by the maid of honor and the bridesmaids. They invite the bride’s female friends. There, they talk about “girl things” related to married life among other things. While your bride is in the bridal shower, you’re supposed to be in a stag party with your best man and your groomsmen.

a bridal shower gift is meant for the bride.gift-bags full of bath oils or something she will be able to wear on her honeymoon.sometimes doing a gift bag for the bride and groom that have similar products in them is always nice.i threw my best friends bridal shower a few months ago and i gave them matching personalized slippers for their honeymoon they were so cute.p.s.they also were manly for the groom!!!!

A bridal shower gift is a gift that you bring to the shower. A bridal shower gift is typically something off of the bride’s registry. It could be a place setting for their China pattern or something for the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, etc. It truly ranges. A wedding gift nowadays is typically money. they are two separate things. If you can not make the shower and you were given an invite. It is good etiquette to still send a gift.
