It’s really best to call and ask. Some stores might, since you haven’t even picked it up, but then some might say no. Call and ask!
Completely depends on the shop and how far in the process you are.
Some possibilities I’ve heard of:
1. Total refund (really rare, probably not going to happen)
2. Credit towards another dress in the store (usually the most likely option)
3. Credit towards another dress in the store minus any alteration charges
4. Nothing, stuck with dress
