What is an appropriate amount for a gift certificate for a bridal shower?

I will not be able to attend the bride’s wedding, but I will be attending her bridal shower. Her friend (who is organizing the shower) says that gift certificates would be best. I was just wonder what is the minimum amount to maximum amount that would be appropriate to give.

I would say like 50 unless you don’t know the girl that well, then like 35??? I’m no expert though.

I would say it depends on how good of friends you are and what you can afford. How much would you have spent on a gift? Use that amount for the gift certificate. I would say $20-$50

I have always gone with $25 for shower presents and $50 for wedding gift

The correct answer is… What you can afford to give. Everyone’s discretionary income is different. You also have to consider the degree of closeness to the bride. I would say the average amount is somewhere around $40-60. You can also review the registry and make sure they will be able to purchase something! Good luck.

Depends on you & what you can afford & how close you are to the future bride. I’d say anywhere from $20-$50 if you don’t know her…and as high as you can afford comfortably, if you are really very close!! ;o)

Depending on your relationship to the bride, $25 for a casual friend/business acquaintance up to $50 for a closer relationship/relative.
