Usually with the shower invitation is a card stating where she is registered. It would be appropriate to just pick something off of the registry in the price range you select. Given you are not close with the bride to be, I would suggest a gift between $25 and $50.
in the invitation, was there a registry card? usually a bride registers before her shower.
if not, just get something for the couple. a pretty photo frame, photo album. champagne flutes…. something wimsical for bride & groom like matching hats or flip flops that say bride & groom
