The best tea sandwiches for a bridal shower?

jessiebell asked:

Would like a few suggestions for tea sandwiches to make for a bridal shower. Which ones do you think would be the most popular. Salmon, tuna, egg, peanut butter and banana, ham and pickle? Any ideas greatly appreciated.

I just went to a baby shower that had tea sandwiches. The most popular where the cucumber and the chicken salad. There was also a prosciutto and melon one that was yummy!

    Have fun~!

Bakery fresh sour dough and also a loaf of French and pumpernickel bread…..thinly sliced.

Mix some cream cheese and crushed walnuts and fresh pineapple tidbits…..can be on tiny bread opened faced.

Tea sandwiches should be delicate, and peanut butter & banana would work better for a toddler’s party (or Elvis)…. thinly sliced tomato or cucumber is perfect, or watercress. If you’re going to use salmon, it should be the very thinnest slices of SMOKED salmon with a very light cream cheese spread….. Remember to cut the crusts off, and cut the sandwiches into 3rds, or quarters (or use cookie cutters)
