Newlywed asked: I’m not really sure how I feel about it. Should we have the dates sit together elsewhere? We don’t want a sweetheart table, but at the same time none of the members of the bridal party are in long term relationships. Our two groups of friends get along well. Does it look weird when the dates sit up there too?
Thanks guys!

My father is getting married and I am the maid of honor, his fiance’s daughter is the matron of honor and together we are thinking of planning something for her mother. Since she is an older woman, a traditional shower may not be the best idea - what are some other ideas?

jennaonna2000 asked: We are planning an office bridal shower for a co-worker and I am having a hard time coming up with some Ideas. The girl who is getting married know’s about the shower and she is being kinda picky and specific about it. She’s not that bad I mean her Ideas are good. I would just like to come up with some ideas that she will never think of so she can be surprised.
We are planning to have the party here at work in the lunch room and she wants to have it around 3PM but I feel that Noon would be better to ensure more guest. People cant always take 30-45 mins break at 3 o’clock. Anyways if someone can thow some Ideas my way that would be great, I was hoping to even fit in a simple game if we have time. Please help any ideas are great ones. Thanks

Ellen Kate arriving late Feb! asked:
I was invited to a Bridal Shower-got the normal gifts off her registry (and bought a naughty one too!) She is a close friend and we have been through a lot together, including a lot of bad times. I don’t think its appropriate timing to talk about bad times as its a joyous event! What do you suggest me writing in her card? Example: Quotes, advice, etc.

I read online that polyester wedding gowns can be turned inside out and washed in cold water (by hand or in the machine on the gentle cycle). I have tried washing mine by hand (in the bathtub!) using a generic version of Woolite, but there are some stubborn greyish stains on the bottom edge of the skirt (from walking on pavement). Has anyone out there tried using Oxy Clean on a wedding/bridal gown? Thanks for your help!

I know an engagement ring is just a single ring. But what is a bridal set? Is it the engagement ring with a wedding band?
I was just trying to make sure i knew what i was talking about because a friend told me i was wrong. Thanks everyone!

My mom came to town for Thanksgiving and we thought about going to David’s Bridal to start looking for a dress for my wedding in May. Do you have to have an appointment to go and or try them on?

bubbadoy asked: I had a bridal shower a week before the wedding. For some of the ladies, they did not bring a date to the wedding. So can I combine their thank you note and thank them for giving both gifts on one card?
It’s not that I’m trying to be cheap, but I also don’t want to be redundant. If you think that ettiquette says I should send TWO cards to one person at the same time, then I will do it.
Thanks in advance!
