Send a really lovely card to the couple thanking them for the opportunity to be involved in their day and letting them know you will most certainly be attending. I sent back a really nice card to a friend I was bridesmaid for saying - very tongue in cheek - "just in case you weren't sure... Of course I will be attending your wedding - I wouldn't miss it for the world". Regardless of your involvement - if they sent you an invite send them an RSVP.
