How much money to spend on bridal shower gift?

bridal
Sunny asked:

I have been invited to a bridal shower and it says on the invitation that the bride would prefer gift cards to Home Depot rather than gifts. How much should I give? They only come in $25 increments.

One $25 gift card should suffice for the shower, and then maybe another 2 $25 gift cards for the wedding gift.

1 should be good for a bridal shower gift.

I think it depends on how much she deserves. If shes not too nice, then the minimum. If she’s nice then a little more.

I think it depends on how well you know her and how close you are. Is she a relative?
Unless it was my sister or best friend or a very close relative I would get a $25 card.

I usually spend $50 if I can on a shower gift, baby or bridal. This also depends on how my finances are at the moment. If you have enough and are close to the person, then I would give $50 or 2 cards. If you are not very close to the person or just are on limited funds then 1 gift card should be enough.
Either way I am sure whatever you give will be highly appreciated.

For people I’m not that close to, I usually give about $25 for a shower gift. If this bride is a close friend of yours I would give $50.

How much would you spend on the gift, if this idea wasn’t presented. Would you spend closer to $25 or $50? Looking at it that way, may help you decide.
