I agree with the others - you are not obligated to go, especially since you have not even met the bride! I'm assuming you were invited because you are close friends with your co-worker, so if you decide to go, I would spend what you would spend on him (your co-worker). Around $25 is what I would spend because you will be expected to get them a wedding gift later also - when you are invited to the wedding.

Do NOT go to the shower, but attend the wedding.
Bridal showers are for close friends and relatives.
Attending the wedding as a guest and friend of the Groom is perfectly acceptable, and then a gift of 25-$50, is more than fair.

You are absolutely not obligated to go to a bridal shower for someone you have never met.

The couple is just trolling for gifts. How incredibly "Ick!"

Send them a card for the wedding itself, and nothing more.

It depends on how generous you are. You can get a descent gift for $50 or so. If they are really close to me $100 or more. You can always get something lower than $50. After all, it's the thought that counts.

Since you don't know your co-workers girlfriend, I wouldn't feel obilgated to go. Usually bridal showers are for close friends and family. However, to answer you question I wouldn't personally spend more than $10.00 to $15.00.

I wouldn't go unless, I knew of any other co-workers attending to pervent any weird moments. And if there are other co-workers attending then you can chip in on a gift as a group instead of an individual.

Rule of thumb if you are invited to a bridal shower you should also be invited to the wedding dinner also.

Well, since you don't really know them yet you should only spend a little bit. Like, $20 or $30.
