My friend is having her bridal shower this weekend and its a coed one… i am trying to come up with some funny ideas for a marriage survival kit ( like asprin to fake headaches, granny panties to keep him away that time of month…) please help with any other suggestions….. thanks
you have to have the headache tabs,
also include a taxi rank card, £0.20p to phone home after a girls night out, a battery operated object,
Whew a girls night out kit is soooo much easier
Tylenol, lots of Tylenol. No matter how much you love your guy, they can be a headache.
Navymom cracked me up! My dad, a great man but gift illiterate, got my mom a range hood for her birthday…*Rolls eyes.*
Step by step instructions on how to put the toilet seat down.
Wrap a small box containing a gift certificate for delivered pizza and tiny ladies undies. Label it “What to do when dinner is burned”.
Wrap an empty box, and label it “What to wear when you tell your husband the car is making a funny noise”.
Make a list of appliances that are not appropriate for anniversary/birthday/sweetest day gifts.
This one will require some know-how, but take an issue of Playboy magazine, and tape, paste, whatever, her face over all the shots in the centerfold section. Add a note that this should be all the bride will ever find hidden in the grooms sock drawer.
My mom made something like this for my sister-in-law but it was personal & filled with items to help her survive marriage to my brother.
For example ~ my brother is a *huge* football fan & SIL hates sports. But in the survival kit my mom included a Cleveland Browns sweatshirt & an OSU hat. She also had a giant can of baked beans (bro loves them) along with boxes of Gas-X & Beano! There was much more, but I’m sure you get the idea
Try to think of personal items that will help that bride survive her husband & vice versa. The survival kit my mom made was a big hit ~ and it was a great way for the guests to learn little bits of info about the couple
navy mom should get ‘best answer!’ what a sense of humor! lol
i would go to the toy-department and find a kid size rolling pin! something to smack him with when he complains about her cooking!
honestly i can’t think of anything else, navy mom has it all wrapped up!
I have made a few honeymoon kits and you could use
edible underwear wear
cute little sexy kit with lube and massage oil
but if you want a more Pg type thing
a chocolate bar ( a girls always need it)
stress ball
A flashlight to help light the way when it seems dark
A teabag for when you get in hot water you can make tea and share
Hershey Kisses and Hugs becuase affection should never be in short supply
A needle and thread to mend a broke heart
a Penny so they are never broke
Sandpaper to smooth things out when life gets rough
a clock to remember life is short- love hard
etc…
I think they should be funny and sentimental at the same time to remind people of everything they are getting into. Marriage is a journey… not all sex and fun.
