My mom came to town for Thanksgiving and we thought about going to David’s Bridal to start looking for a dress for my wedding in May. Do you have to have an appointment to go and or try them on?
You can go without making an appointment, but you may have to wait for someone to be available. If your time is valuable it makes sense to make an appointment.
You don’t have to make an appointment, but I would if I were you. That way you get the best service, because they put appointments ahead of walk-ins.
You don’t have to, but you get priority if you do, especially if it is a weekend where everyone shows up.
You don’t have to but expect to wait a very long time if you need help picking out dresses and sizes. I made an appointment and it still was very crazy! I was very disappointed and plan to never work with them again. After getting my bridesmaids dresses there I choose to get my dress elsewhere.
Here in Reno, NV David’s Bridal is HORRIBLE. My maid of honor and I went in on a Tuesday..there was not one other customer in the store and about 5-6 employees there in visible sight. They would not let me try on a dress, they told me that I had to make an appt. I was like, um I could understand if you were busey, but we are the only people here. The rather rude lady that had no business working in a bridal shop told me that was there policy and that I could set up and appt with her or call this number. I was like…are you serious! They absolutely would not allow me to try one on. I even told her that my MOH could help me, that we did not even need one of them. OH MY GOODNESS, she flew off the handle about how that ruins dresses and no way were we gonna try them on ourselves. She was just horrible. All the other people there just acted like they could not see or hear the situation. I ended up buying the dress that I wanted to try on there…online for $585 with free shipping…it was $1,100 in David’s. I was so insulted and just could not believe how horrible they were. So needless to say…yes they require appts…wich by the way NO OTHER BRIDAL SHOPS in the area do. We were able to walk into Marchelles Bridal and order my reception dress with no problem, walked in on a Saturday, got help right away, tried on 5 dresses and decided on my reception dress…a $900 Maggie Sottero all in less time than it took me to arugue at David’s.
If you plan on trying on dresses, make an appointment.
