However, if there is to be a bridal shower or a bachelorette party, normally bride-only gifts are given (negligee and etc.) Just make up a gift registry, and let people know about it. If they want to get you a gift from these, they'll give them to you whenever they feel is appropriate. Besides, not everyone will be able to make it to your wedding shower and/or wedding, so they'll have to do so whenever they can.
